Hello from Abigail

Hello,

I am sorry that I have not posted anything lately. We have been to a lot of places, and have been kind of busy.ย  Right now we are staying at Uncle Matt and Aunt Ciji’s house outside of Ocala. A couple of days ago our family went to Fort Myers FL., to meet the Davalos family. Then we went to Miami. The drive was about two and a half hoursfrom Ft. Myers. We had to wait in a little office called the Ecuadorian Consulate. We had to wait all day for two days in a row to get our Visas. When we got back Daddy spoke at Fort Cooper Baptist Church and we sang. We are counting down the days until July 10th. That’s when we leave for Ecuador.ย  I will try to post once a week, check back soon ๐Ÿ™‚

    Hello Ms. Abigail,

Your Uncle Paul and I are thinking about you.

I am still trying to get used to this little bitty keyboard. I find that I make lots of typos. I found a mistake in Madeline’s message after I had already hit ‘post comment’. So, please let Madeline know that I actually can spell better than that, but I am blaming the keyboard. ๐Ÿ™‚

Uncle Paul and I went to a wedding last night at Dade Battlefield State Park. That is where we went for our picnic a few months ago. The wedding was nice. It was a young man that works for your Uncle Paul named Scott McCoy. Your Daddy might know him, I think he is about your Daddy’s age. They had a great big cake at the reception. Uncle Paul stayed on his diet but I ate cake. It was the good kind of cake with the really thick icing. Dang, I wish I had another piece right now! ๐Ÿ™‚

I went to a meeting this week at the local medical clinic. The meeting was to make some decisions about a program called Healthy Start. The Healthy Start program helps ladies who have babies learn how to be a good mommy. The Healthy Start workers go out to the mommy’s house and show her how to take care of her baby. It costs a lot of money to pay the Healthy Start workers. Some of the money comes from the people in the State of Florida and some of the money comes from people all over the United States. I like to go to the meetings so I can understand what the Healthy Start workers need to help the mommies.

Uncle Paul and I found a kitten this past Wednesday. The kitten is white with gray spots. We have adopted the kitten and named it ‘cloudy’ because of the gray spots.

We had a lot of rain here in Florida last week. Uncle Paul and I were watching TV during the rain when a drop of water came down from our ceiling and hit me on my shoulder. My goodness, your Uncle Paul did not like that. He had me running all over the house grabbing buckets and towels. I guess we will be putting a new roof on our house pretty soon. I hope it is not a red one like our neighbors have. Did you see that house with the red roof before you get to where we live? I don’t think red would look very good on this house. What color do you think we should get? We will probably just pick tan again. The color tan is always a safe color. You don’t tend to get tired of tan as quick.

Well, I had better go see what I am going to wear to dinner tonight. Your Uncle Paul wants to go to a restaurant called Bonefish Grill. It is in The Villages. It is hot today. Maybe I will wear capri pants. However, if I wear capri pants, then I have to shave my legs. The next time you are counting your blessings, please count that you do not have to shave your legs yet. It is a pain.

Love, Aunt Sandra and Uncle Paul
